Just do more of what you love.

That sounds too easy, right?

But, what if it’s mostly just a choice…. to choose what makes you happy?

For example, if you’re at an event, and you don’t like it…you can choose to leave. You don’t have to stay!

Don’t feel obligated to do things you don’t enjoy.

Don’t feel obligated to spend time with people who depress you.

You can tell them (in diplomatic ways), that you “appreciate their lovely offer, but unfortunately, you have other commitments.”

If someone suggests you read a book, that they loved…but when you start it you realize it’s not for you…you don’t have to read it!

And when they ask what you thought of it, you can say, “I appreciate you thinking of me, but it wasn’t really what I want at this time.”

So…to be happier…eliminate as many things as possible that you DON’T enjoy.

(Yes, I know you have still have to scrub the bathroom…no wait, you could get someone else to do it!)

Then, start choosing to do things that make you happy. Every day!

They can be little things, like taking a few minutes to walk outside and breathe some fresh air.

Or have a bubble bath, or take time to rub scented lotion into your body.

Or get up a few minutes earlier, so that you can eat a real breakfast.

Being happier is a state of mind…you know, that old half empty vs half full glass.

You can literally train your mind, and increase your happiness, by daily listing gratitude items.

YES, it really works!

It’s a matter or choice.

So, I suggest you choose to be happier, by doing more of the things you love…every day!

Does this suggestion sound really challenging to you?
